Guest guest
Dear Simona and All, I just love this list as it finds people from around the world sharing experiences and uses with essential oils! Simona, from what I know about panic/anxiety attacks, they can be caused by many different reasons. Lack of sleep. Unresolved stress issues. Improper diet. Mixing different foods that you're body doesn't like together (kind of like migraine sufferers). Some medications can affect us, causing panic attacks. Panic attacks are often more phobic, hence harder to track down the original cause. Yoga is excellent for helping to gain control, through breathing techniques. Also, using essential oils such as chamomile (Roman), lavender (the best universal oil of all!), rosemary, myrrh, sandalwood, frankincense, spruce, fir, ylang-ylang, bergamot. Many oils need to be applied to the body with a carrier oil of some type (olive oil, grapeseed oil, sesame oil, etc). If I were to apply the oils topically I would apply them to my feet as that is one way to get the oils into the body and working pretty fast. Diffusing them is always very calming and adding some drops to a bath is bliss for the nervous system! Whatever I've learned about panic/anxiety problems, I've learned from my step-mother. It's great that she's so willing to experiment with the oils. But then, it mostly comes from the fact that she does not respond well to modern medicines drug therapies and she is blessed with a body that loves natural healing techniques. Do Doctors in Italy prescribe essential oils as they do in France and Germany? If so, then you can get medical quality oils and your Doctor might even prescribe oil to be taken internally, or so I've heard. Our medical practioners are just barely learning about the healing properties of essential oils. Only a few companies here in the US have that kind of therapeutic quality available for purchase. Blessings to you and yours, Lynn Compaq <simoon Tuesday, October 19, 1999 7:20 AM Hi!!
