Patchouli in Nebulizer

Hi - I'm still reading and learning. I have a question about

using Patchouli. I have heard it is a thick oil (I don't have

any yet) and you shouldn't use it in a nebulizer diffuser.

Well, would you be able to dilute it with grapeseed oil and

then use it in the nebulizer? And with how much dilution oil?

Thanks -

Hello Tammy

In answer to your question, Yes, Pathouli is a thick oil and may clog up

your nebulizer so it is better not to use it...No, you cannot mix it

with grapeseed as you cannot use carrier oils in a nebulizer as this

also will clog it up...That is the problem I find with nebulizers, you

can only use the undiluted Essential Oil which can become expensive...I

only use my nebulizer when I am diffusing a large area, such as when I

am teaching or giving a meeting...The place that I bought my nebulizer

from said that you cannot use water either in it, not even to clean it

but to use 90% alcohol instead....Just run the diffuser with the 90%

alchohol every 10 days or so to keep it clean and running properly...Now

this is just an idea, but I am wondering if alcohol is ok to use in it,

then most probably you could dilute the patchouli in alcohol and run it

that way, but I do not guarantee anything...It is a thought, not a

suggestion :)
