Guest guest
Hello, I found this group on the alt.aromatherapy newsgroup. I'm Lynn and I live in the foothills of Los Angeles. I am a Hypnotherapist and have been practicing for 10 years now. A couple aromatherapy books I really enjoy are: Aromatherapy and the Mind, by Julia Lawless; Portraits in Oils by Philippe Mailhebiau; and books by Kurt Schnaubelt, Robert Tisserand, etc. I've always been attracted to anything that smelled good. Even as a child I became aware of how smell would cause me to remember things, or bring up images in my mind. Whenever I would go into a health food store and see the essential oils I would naturally be compelled to open them to check out the smells. One my first trip to Ireland, three years ago, I found myself actually offering a prayer to guide me to the kinds of essential oils that could help people be healed from their problems. I have found and keep finding these kinds of oils that can aid folks in different types of healing. My experience is that these oils do cost a bit more and that's just fine for me. I choose to use oils that are Grade A / Absolut. However, that does not stop me from using some of the other oils for candles and all! I love the feelings that essential oils help to create and I love to share them with friends and clients! Enough about me. I look forward to seeing how we all share information and experiences with the oils. The deep aim of perfumery is to find ingredients that will open new doors. Maurice Rogers, Pres. of Dior Perfumes
