Armotherapy Book Suggestion

I'm partial to " The Encyclopedia of Essential Oils " by Julia Lawless.

This will provide a lot of the basic info about the oils themselves. A

book that would probably be good for beginners is " Aromatherapy for

Dummies " . Don't be insulted by the title, this is a very good series of

books. (I learned computers from them to the point where I was able to

run my own repair business)

I've looked at this particular one at the bookstore. It is basic to the

point of being boring. But for someone just starting out, it appears to

be one heck of a jumpstart into the field.

Hope this helps.

Hiya, Cheryl et al,

Thought it was about time I contributed, though I'm a bit behind on my mail,

so this may have been suggested already. A good book for me is Patricia

Davis' 'A-Z of Aromatherapy'. Also, one of my big favourites is

'Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit' by Gabriel Mojay. That's more of a

poetic one for you!

Oh, and I suppose I'd better introduce myself a bit. I live in Manchester,

England, and am studying aromatherapy at a local hospital - though I'm not a

nurse. I was just VERY keen to do their course (as I know it goes into

anatomy, etc, indepth) and have the 'gift of the gab'! I've been studying

for about a year now and won't quality full till 2001. It's a bit of a slog

as I work full-time and am in the process of buying a house with my

boyfriend, but I do love it.

Anyway, enough about me and back to you guys.

Hope you all have a good weekend,

Sophie
