Guest guest
Dear List Friends, Thanks for your response to my previous posts. I am really starting to enjoy it here and am learning many things from each one of you. I was thinking about putting some EO is my car. I think I am going to get a car diffuser but I am not sure which oil would be best. I wouldn't want anything relaxing but something uplifting and not too strong. Any suggestions? Guest guest
Dear Eric One of the best EO's I have found for use in the car is peppermint, it keeps the mind sharp without being too evasive, I blend it with either basil or thyme to tone it to a more earthy aroma which I prefer. Best regards Phil

Guest guest
Hello Nice oils for the car to keep you alert would be peppermint or grapefruit, lemon, any citrus or uplifting oils such as rosemary...I would suggest you choose one that makes you feel perky when you whiff it and go with that Sharron -- Serene Aromatherapy
Guest guest
Phil, Does the basil or thyme help reduce the edginess that can accompany peppermint? I love the smell of peppermint, but it can have the same effect on me as an extra large cup of coffee. The problem on my daily commute (one hour each way) isn't that of staying alert. It's controlling the overpowering desire to choke the ignorant clown in the car next to or in front of me. Any suggestions for that? I'm sure that I'm not the only one in the group that would be interested in it. Guest guest
Dear Jason Have not had that problem myself, for 20yrs or more, I live in the country where our idea of heavy traffic is the 3.30 greyhound bus pulling onto the highway. But you might like to try Rosemary or Marjoram both of which are noted to relax and calm. But dont use too much, as you know an excess can produce the opposite effect. Best Regards Phil
Guest guest
Just a word of caution here...Marjoram is very relaxing and will probably put you to sleep...I don't think we really want to be that relaxed while driving...lol....Rosemary is a good one though Sharron PHIL LOCKEY wrote: > Dear Jason > Rosemary or Marjoram both of which are noted to relax and calm.
