Guest guest
I hope I didn't make you feel the need to supply this disclaimer. This feeling I have does not disrupt my life at all. In fact, no one knows but me and now the list. I think if you asked someone about me they would probably say I seemed to be a strong, happy person in control. I can easily live with this feeling for the rest of my life and I realize that this is just an e-mail list and not to be consider professional help. I just thought if anyone had any suggestions that might help, great. If not, well so be it. I do not consider myself depressed nor in need of seeing a doctor. cas > It is my understanding that this list is to help with problems we all have, or > have faced. > > However, just for clarification I would like to state that if anyone feels they > have a problem that is disrupting their regular everyday functioning, they should > consult with a Doctor and/or Therapist. Guest guest
Hi Cas, No you did not make me post it. However it did bring to my attention that it should be said. The problem with online stuff is that you never know who is there in the background and who isn't and have no clue to where they may or may not be. So basically I was just protecting myself. grin. I want to thank you for making me think of that. For instance what if someone was in serious trouble and was online and not getting help outside.....see what that could cause? Just never know. I wasn't pointing a finger at you honestly. Just covering my bases. grin. Sherri: Hey, do I look like I mind <LOL>? This list belongs to all of us, and I would hope that we will gradually develop into a respectful community that knows the in's and out's of ethical behavior and supports each other's learning process. The disclaimer definitely stands... we are not here to make medical recommendations, to diagnose, or to promise cures. We are here for open discussion, idea sharing, and possibly referral and recommendation, without any overt self-promotion or product selling. I would hope that we *do* all have good intentions, and the judgement to go with it!! :-) In Good Health, Caro -- Caroline Abreu, BS, RN, CHTP/I, CRMT Energywork * Holistic Nursing * Shamanism " A Nurturing Touch " http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/5114/

'what if' someone had a real serious issue and got to rambling around in their mind programming and it caused a serious emotional trauma? I had never actually thought of that as something to be concerned with online before and to be truthful don't even know if any of the same rules apply. grin. I certainly hope not as I love open sharing. I guess it is really on my mind because last week I went to this meeting...and alot of the people in there were under a therapists care and I didn't know it...and I could of inadvertently stepped on toes without meaning to. So since that happened I probably am overly cautious. And I figured by saying that I could now share freely without worry. grin. My intentions are nothing but the best. I love helping myself and I love trying to help others. grin. Many Blessings, Sherri
