Guest guest
Dear list! I wonder if there are any simply strategies that I could adopt in order to avoid becoming hypercalceamic. I take large doses of a vit-D analogue ( " alfacalcidol " ) to battle a brain tumor. I have naturally cut back on all dairy products since hypercalceamia is the main (only!?) sidefeffct of high- dose vit-D. Every now and then I get a feeling I should augment this modality with vit-K and hefty amounts of green veggies. (Vit-K is a key player in building bone, that is sucking Ca out of the blood stream.) I've also seen a few slurs about fish-oil and Magnesium regarding Ca utilization. Thanks!
