I must be honest, hubby is a great cake & cookie eater but I am the candy eater in this house - I have told him that all candy bars in this house must be removed tomorrow and no more brought in - unfortunately our daughter is able to get these free and when she gives us some, it is more than I would normally eat in a year and it gets eaten in 3 months - sometimes less and of course we were given boxes of them by her for xmas. I am going to tell her that I am definitely not allowed (I will tell her the doctor has said no more ever and she will believe this). Tomorrow I am going to start being a totally different eater - thanks to this group. Guest guest
Marianne, Have you thought about baking batches of his favorite cookies, pies, cakes using natural ingredience and sending them with him where ever he goes. If it is handy and will not cost him time and money to stop at a store he might slow down on the store bought goodies. Something I have found, can not stand carob chips, using grain sweetened chocolate chips is defiantly makes the difference!! I really admire you for sticking with it. Guest guest
Marianne, Here is the place I get my grain sweetened chocolate chips. It is a co-op with organic and other health foods. Just go to search catalog and punch in chocolate chips and it has multiple choices. http://www.azurefarm.com/ I do not know where they will ship to, but they have free shipping in Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho.
