1. Try Desetin, or other forms of zinc oxide for a deoderant.

2. Kids,

Some things I tried did not work; But these did.

On Saturday they got as dime to spend for penny Candy. That may not work

today. But When It is not Saturday " No Candy " worked because they did get

some on Sat.

When they were playing outside and Dinner time came; thare was only a salad

on the Table. They were hungry - they ate it. Today they are actually

one of those ordering salad at McDonalds.

New foods: Only for Daddy, you may not have any this time, maybe next

time- Well you lmay have a little taste. Today they will eat anything

but one or two foods.

Good Luck Lorenzo

I really admire Nanci in her attempt to grow healthy kids. It has inspired

me as my eldest in 7yrs old. he is VERY fussy.... my middle daughter isn't

so bad. If you have any hints on what to feed them that is healthy and

yummy, I would love to have the recipes! They have got to like sugar too

much, as I have got slack and given them foods I don't agree with. My 7 yr.

old was fed only organic food till he was 2, and no sugar or any rubbish.

After aged 2, he got fussy, and I resorted to foods that he would eat. I

must get tough now, or all will be lost! :) The problem is - I cannot

think of what to give them that they would eat! They are very aware of what

is healthy and what is not, but still prefer to eat junk! It's very

frustrating. I must admit they are healthier than a lot of their peers - in

part due to the fact I didn't vaccinate them. I believe it makes the world

of difference to their general health.

I love your methods especially the special meal, only for dad. Humans are funny

creatures; always wanting what we can not have.

I found these at BiMart, I was wondering if they are really any good or if it

was just another selling scam.

Each must make up own minds for themselves, but I sure would not

call a Cliff bar " health food " , no matter what the manufacturer claims! It

is grossly bloated with un-needed carbohydrates which stress out the

pancreas & jerk serotonin levels around in the same way sugar does, albeit

not as extreme.

--Nanci,

Luna and clifbars are a very healthy alternative to sweets! My DIL

and I can both attest to that. She started eating the Luna bars for

women (which contain the flaxseed meal also, by the way)just a few

months previous...was able to forgo a lap with a few dietary changes

also. She is drinking the required eight glasses a day, eating luna

bars, juicing and doing great now. At the last report she has never

felt better.*S* The people who make these bars have the knack of

including all the right vitamins, minerals that a woman needs along

with just the right hint of sweetness from molasses and other natural

alternatives. Check out the site. There are tons of testimonies

there...including my best girlfriends online! :-) She swears that

these bars were a key factor in her healing from a botched hyst!

There are 43 grams of carbohydrate & 220 calories in one cliff bar.

I do not consider that to be a healthy alternative to sweets. To me, that

is a candy bar, no matter how many vitamins it has added to it. There

have also been lots of negative reports about soy & cliff bars also contain

soy.

Now, I am not saying that cliff bars (or any treat) is harmful once

a week or so, but I sure would be careful about once a day or more. For

daily use, I would recommend a daily snack of a piece of fruit & some

unsalted nuts, or some trail mix. A medium apple has 15 grams of

carbohydrates & 59 calories. 1/4 cup of hazelnuts has 4 grams of

carbohydrates & 157 calories plus 7 grams of protein. That is about the

same protein as a cliff bar with less than half the carbohydrates & roughly

the same amount of energy (calories).

Ground flax seed is very good to eat, but it does not store well

once it is ground. I would suspect the ground flax in Luna bars is not good

for much other than fiber.

---Alobar,

Certainly less harmful than traditional candy bars resplendent

with refined sugars, but never a replacement for fruits, veggies,

raisina and nuts. So true! Thanks for reminding us of that. Actually

I seldom indulge if the fresh ground flax is available.

I do find them to be a healthy alternative when convalescing and

unable to grind my own.(most medical facilities don't offer fresh

ground flaxseed meal). :-)

Everything in moderation is my motto.

I find them to be an excellent replacement for my grandkids.

JoAnn

P.S. I still eat carbs and I don't count calories! *S*

And yes it does have soy, but the soy is non-gmo. That makes a

difference to me.
