Guest guest
>>> My question: I keep a bag of flax seeds in my fridge and grind it up fresh whenever I'm going to eat it or feed it to my dogs. One bag lasts me several months. Any opinions on how fresh it will keep in the fridge? I have no problem storing it in the freezer - it hadn' occured to me. But, can it be ground directly after removing from the freezer, or does it need to thaw out a bit?>>> Reply, Try sprouting it! However it does not germinate too well, I planted it in the Garden and only a fifth of it came up. Maybe a Garden Person can tell us how to get it to sprout quickly. Because sprouting or germination that would always be a good but very simple test for its potency. In March April and May I will be planting some of last years that I keep in the cold Barn to see how well it survived. Some seeds barely make it to the next year, some are good for Centuries. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Flax sprouts! I'll wager they're a nutritional powerhouse. But I've never seen them in health food stores. I'll have to try sprouting flaxseed. I'm curious how it will taste.
