Excellent idea and 12 kg (1 year supply for two) of flax seed will not take

up

a lot of room in the freezer.

My question:

I keep a bag of flax seeds in my fridge and grind it up fresh whenever I'm

going to eat it or feed it to my dogs. One bag lasts me several months. Any

opinions on how fresh it will keep in the fridge? I have no problem storing

it in the freezer - it hadn' occured to me. But, can it be ground directly

after removing from the freezer, or does it need to thaw out a bit?
