How long does Seed last?

Flax Seed is harvested in the Summer. So by Next June your " Fresh " Seed

from the store is at least ten months old. And you do not know under what

conditions it was stored.

But if you can identify the fresh harvest and buy it in September you can

freeze it and then you will know how it was stored.

Actually if not subject to heat it will probably keep for years.

Best Regards, Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,

Excellent idea and 12 kg (1 year supply for two) of flax seed will not take up a

lot of room in the freezer.
