Guest guest
I think the premise is that the nerves can heal and " spark " across and make the connections....must be more to it, sorry I don't know what the more is. Guest guest
There is on the internet, a fellow who publishes, for a small fee, his program to combat hyper-acidity, acid-reflux disease, etc. He prescribes a fairly strict program of natural foods, etc. However, when people are suffering particularly painful episodes of acid indigestion, with the potential of damaging esophageal tissue, repeatedly exposed to acid, he specified a near fool-proof, emergency remedy. If there is available a good-sized tomato which has been allowed to ripen to the point, just before it looks likely to rot, consume it. He claims your acidity will vanish. This can be done on a regular basis, for people that have a serious problem with acid, by having a small number of tomatos around, that are allowed to ripen to a maximal degree, and added to salads or juiced, if not needed for hyper-acidity. Perhaps, our habit of, so often, eating less than fully ripenend fruit, is taking a special toll on our digestive health. I've noticed that, with oranges, the riper, richer, juicier and sweeter they are, the less they're likely to cause me any acid discomfort; and I have a serious problem in this area. It's also possible to view this from a quite different angle. The better my digestion, which can be influenced by numerous factors, including non-dietary factors, the better able I am to enjoy such foods as tomatos, grapes, oranges and other citrus fruit, etc.; rather than seeing the problem from the viewpoint, that the more I " avoid " those foods, which are, after all, loaded with healthfull, nutritional values, the better off will be my digestion: a viewpoint I'd rather not take. - " mrsjoguest " <joguest Thursday, January 10, 2002 8:22 AM margarine is bad. period.
