Guest guest
Morning Mindy, > You will be surprised at how quick one gallon will go when you start using in in ALL your cooking & baking. >Ah, I was gonna ask about this... so you *can* use coconut oil in baking? I have only had my coconut oil a day or two. I was disappointed when I tried to use it in my protein drink. The milk is too cold and it solidifies. So.... I have a lot of small particles. I will switch back to flax oil for this purpose. Since I do virtually zero cooking..... my other option is to eat it with a spoon. This is somewhat like eating crisco. When I have time to study all this a bit, I will come up with better methods. Until then.... a few teaspoons munched until it turns to liquid will get me by. Chasing it with peanut butter works ok two. As you may guess, I don't get any awards for preparation of my supplements. Wayne

It's sort of like a raw bread (if you can call it that). I'm considering trying it out, and will be stopping by the HFS today to see if they have any wheat berries. Recipe at the end of this e-mail. Anyway, maybe you could try spreading " coconut butter " on this manna bread and see if that's a little easier...and it'd still be raw (sorta). > As you may guess, I don't get any awards for preparation of my supplements. LOL, maybe not for your supplements, but your trail mix recipe certainly sounds palatable. OK, here's the recipe: ESSENE BREAD 4c soaked wheatberries 1/2 c to 1c minced veges (optional) 2 T seasoning(caraway seed, poppy seed, sesame seed, garlic ect..). Soak wheat 15 hrs, allow to drain 15 hrs. wheat left from rejuvelac process can be used! Grind the wheat, add veges, season on top, form loaf. " Bake " in the Sun or warm place(70-90 deg) until firm(12-24 hrs). Bread may need to be turned so that bottom will dry. Enjoy ! recipe is from living-foods.com

Coconut milk does not need refrigeration, it will not go off. > I will switch back to flax oil for this purpose. Hi Wayne, Better to put in a tablespoon of ground organic flax. You never know how peroxidized that flax oil is. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, http://optimalhealth.cia.com.au gowatson USDA database (food breakdown) http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/ PubMed (research papers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi DWIDP (nutrient analysis) http://www.walford.com/dwdemo/dw2b63demo.exe Patch file for above http://www.walford.com/download/dwidp67u.exe KIM (omega analysis) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe
