I have been a big tomato eater most of my life. Last Summer I was diagnosed with diabetes & cut way back on my tomato eating. The pains in my hands increased -- probably die to the glyburide I was taking for diabetes. At that time I added flax seed to my diet. After 4 months on the glyburide, I stopped taking it. All pains in my hand are gone! I still eat some potatoes (2 or 3 medium potatoes a week). I have no idea if the arthritis pain going away is related to eating less nightshade, adding flax to my diet, or is somehow related to taking, then stopping, the glyburide. I have osteoarthritis in back/feet/hands and the back pain is worsening rapidly. I eat a few potatoes, the occasional tomato (most here are tasteless) and capsicum (bell pepper). I'm not diabetic and I don't eat flaxseed. Perhaps I should start on the flax! Love, Jo, in Sydney

Info on these ingredients is available at: http://cat007.com/cornell.htm I still do not know which combo of things is doing it, but I don't suppose it would hurt anyone to try a Glucosamine/Chondropitin/Collagen supplement, or eating ground flax seeds daily. Thanks for this! I've been taking a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement for about a year and just gave up on it. It's frightfully expensive and seems not to have had any effect. I read that it doesn't help everyone. If it hasn't helped in 3-6 months, it probably won't. So I guess it's flaxseeds! Jo
