Guest guest Posted January 8, 2002 Report Share Posted January 8, 2002 --- Mindy, Not sure about coconuts, but I do know cranberries are extremely acid and in that respect not good for IBS, ulcers or any type of digestive problem. I have a chart filed away somewhere on this...but a few things come to mind. Pears are alkaline. Milk is high in acid,in fact... phosphoric acid, that's the main reason it contributes to osteoporosis. Just flushes that calcium right down the drain. :-) It's calcium loss, not calcium consumption that is implicated in osteoporosis. With the proper diet and minerals it can be avoided!
