I don't know about the patties she's speaking of specifically, but you can

make some very healthy BARF patties for your dogs before you leave. Just

put them in baggies and place them in the freezer. Leave one in the fridge

for the first day and have the sitter put another in the fridge before

leaving each day.

You can make the patties up with:

- Any ground poultry or beef

- Add their veggies (amount depends on size of dog, if you already BARF you

know how much your dog eats). Note: veggies don't have to go into every

meal. It may be wise to only put veggies in two meals if your gone for an

entire week.

- Raw eggs (again depends on size of dog)

- Plain Yogurt

- Supplements: Ester C, Kelp, Alfalfa, Vitamin E, Salmon oil and some

parsley

If your going to be gone for a week I don't think the lack of bone should be

a problem, but if your concerned, you can dry some egg shells and grind them

in a coffee grinder until they are in powder form, them just add to patty

mix. If you have a heavy duty grinder you can just buy turkey/chicken and

grind the bone into the meat.

Alobar -- BARF diet

Alobar,

We are going away in March and would love to give something easy to our

pet-sitter so Guinness can continue with his raw food while we are away. If

you have any info on those patties, that would be great!

Thanks,

Debbie
