Guest guest
Morning Marianne, >>can recall, but she loved cream, butter and all those sorts of things, ate >really well (she was a professional cook) and died of heart disease at the >age of 72, she, like me had heart problems from her early 50's. Heart >disease is to some extent, heredity as well so look to your >forefathers.............. A number of famous athletes have died from heart disease at ages of 50 and 60. So... the exercise hype has been over rated also. Don't overlook water. The quality and quantity can have a bearing on heart disease and all other diseases. Have you read some of the water books by Dr. Brag and the other one. ...... " Your Body's many cries for water " , by Dr. Batmanghelidj. Likely you have. I tell everyone, " No matter what ails you, .... you will not get well if you don't drink enough water " . It is only 8 am and I am on finishing my third glass of water. One was about 25 % grape juice, and another had a packet of powdered vitamins. The only food I have had is a few pecans, walnuts, and sunflower seeds. Later I will have some eggs, or many a protein drink. and of course more water. Dr. Brag is strongly in favor of distilled water, or..... anything to eliminate the chlorine. I think when we try to blame any single food for any disease, be it cream, soy, meat, coffee, tea ...... or even sugar, we are looking for a scape goat just like the government and the medical gestapo does. Gee, over the years, I have eaten all the candy I wanted. Often eat a full pound of chocolate covered peanuts at one time. During the holidays, I ate a half pecan pie just to see if it would put my glucose out the window. I just don't practice this crazy stuff every day. And ..... guess what, my last two protein drinks did not have whipping cream. Instead I added one raw egg. I am anxious to get my coconut oil to see how it does in the protein drink. Happy eating ! But carrying all those jugs up to my 4th floor apartment, then having to cart all the empty jugs back down again out to the trash was a lot of work! I also do not feel good about the waste of all that plastic! So I did a lot of reading. For me, reverse osmosis (R-O) water seemed like the way to go. The R-O units tend to cost quite a bit more than a simple chlorine filter, but I feel it was worth it. Much better water treatment than a simple filter was my main deciding factor. Also -- long term, even expensive R-O units will pay for themselves compared to buying bottled water.
