Companies That Are Aware of The Dangers of Aspartame

And Still Sell It

There is a belief amongst some individuals that corporations have

a responsibility to act ethically. As more and more information

comes out about the serious danger associated with medium-term and

long-term aspartame ingestion, many companies will probably claim

that they were simply listening to the FDA and knew nothing about the

dangers. What follows will be a listing of companies that I feel

have been made more than adequately aware of the dangers and continue

to push the poison. (Detailed descriptions below the list.)

1. Coca Cola Corporation

2. Twin Laboratories, Inc.

--------------

Detailed Descriptions

1. Coca Cola Corporation

As part of the National Soft Drink Association (NSDA), they

questioned aspartame's safety as early as 1983. Despite the

fact that no adequate answers to NSDA's serious safety questions

were presented by the aspartame manufacturer to the general

public, Coca Cola Corporation decided to push aspartame onto the

unsuspecting public.

They have recently been made well aware of the scientific

evidence that shows aspartame's potential danger. They are also

aware of countless serious health problems linked to their

" product " and other aspartame-containing " products " including

seizures, vision loss, arthritic symptoms, memory loss,

depression, death, menstrual problems, weight gain, severe

migraines, tremors, panic attacks, and a myriad of other

serious neurological and gastrointestinal symptoms.

The Coca Cola Corporation chooses to ignore the growing evidence

of severe dangers associated with medium-term and long-term use of

aspartame. They are pushing this poison worldwide -- putting

profits as their first priority and " health " apparently is not

even on their priority list.

Obviously, people should avoid their dangerous aspartame-

containing beverages. In addition, moving to a naturally-

sweetened beverage such as can be found at a health food

store (e.g., Santa Cruz Naturals, R.W. Knudsen, etc.) or

from my sweetener resource list on this web page. These

types of beverages are much healthier than drinks made by Coca

Cola Corporation and just as tasty.

2. Twin Laboratories, Inc.

Twin Labs is an interesting case. They sell some very useful

products. However, they have been sent extensive information

about aspartame which demonstrates that the " scientific "

information they had been relying upon for safety is severely

flawed. The nutritional consultant to Twin Labs appears to be a

very smart and caring person. Unfortunately, he seems

uninterested in the extensive information provided showing that

Monsanto/NutraSweet's studies are laughable (at best) and that

many people are getting seriously hurt from ingesting aspartame.

Twin Labs sells products which boldly proclaim, " NO ARTIFICIAL

SWEETENERS ADDED " -- as if to take pride in the " naturalness " of

their product. Yet they turn around and put a dangerous,

artificial sweetener, aspartame, in other products that they sell.

They could simply put no sweetener in their " diet " product and

" supplement " their product with naturally sweet, time-tested-safe

ingredients such as stevia or licorice. They are aware of this,

but for some reason choose to ignore it.
