Guest guest
Is it true that lemon juice will help clean the liver? I hope so! On New Year's morning, I had a wicked hangover (note to self: swillowing 6 different kinds of alcohol in a 3 hour period is NOT a good idea!). So for breakfast I had a lot of water and a bowl of fruit. I know, I know, too many carbs, and " where's the beef? " For lunch I had a large glass of water with the juice of one lemon. What's weird is that with all of the fruit for breakfast, I thought that my blood sugar would be dropping like crazy and that I'd be starving by 3 pm at least, but I wasn't!! At 7 pm I had half of a burrito at the airport, and that was it for the day....very strange for me. Mindy

In her book, The Liver Cleansing Diet, Sandra Cabot recommends drinking two large glasses of water with lemon juice squeezed into them every morning on rising. [i'd be 20 mins late getting up if I hung around and drank all that in one go!] Jo, in Sydney
Guest guest
---Jo, Greetings! I just love Sandra Cabot's book. I think it is the very best to be had on the issue of dieting. Her " fatty liver " concept intrigues me. :-) Are you aware of any of her websites right offhand? She has a weightloss site separate from her medical site, if I recall correctly.
