Guest guest
Hi All, Just made up a batch of VCNO based mayonnaise. It is delicious! 1) 3/4 cup of virgin coconut oil (melted then cooled if room temp lower than 25 c). 2) 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil. 3) 1/2 tsp of dry or regular mustard. 4) 1/2 tsp of sea salt or to taste. 5) One egg. 6) 4 tbsp vinegar of your choice. Add all ingredients to blender except the oils. Dribble in the virgin coconut oil & olive oil mix SLOWLY. The mixture will become very thick. More VCNO mixtures to follow! Enjoy................. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, http://optimalhealth.cia.com.au gowatson USDA database (food breakdown) http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/ PubMed (research papers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi DWIDP (nutrient analysis) http://www.walford.com/dwdemo/dw2b63demo.exe Patch file for above http://www.walford.com/download/dwidp67u.exe KIM (omega analysis) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe

Hi Starris, This stuff comes out thick & creamy and with a slight coconut taste depending on what kind of mustard and vinegar you use. Give it a try. I also find a SMALL bit of cayenne adds a nice touch of taste. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, http://optimalhealth.cia.com.au gowatson USDA database (food breakdown) http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/ PubMed (research papers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi DWIDP (nutrient analysis) http://www.walford.com/dwdemo/dw2b63demo.exe Patch file for above http://www.walford.com/download/dwidp67u.exe KIM (omega analysis) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe

While Canola is better than say Soy oil, I would still go for the VCNO. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, http://optimalhealth.cia.com.au gowatson USDA database (food breakdown) http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/ PubMed (research papers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi DWIDP (nutrient analysis) http://www.walford.com/dwdemo/dw2b63demo.exe Patch file for above http://www.walford.com/download/dwidp67u.exe KIM (omega analysis) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe

The RBD form has almost no smell. Greg

I use so little mayo...the quart size lasts a year....I buy a small size virgin olive oil too. The gallon size from info.com makes it affordable but I think it would take me many years to use it. The HFS has 'Spectrum Organic Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil' for $5.40 for 14 oz. It says it has no preservatives.and is processed in accordance w/ California Organic food act. I just looked it up in the Spectrumnaturals web page. It is either semi-refined or refined so it is not really very good. Jean
