Hi Joseph,

I haven't tried it, but I would think that the consistency would be fine.

May I suggest something a bit better than Metamucil? The main ingredient in

Metamucil is psyllium hulls. Then the company adds sugar, or aspertame if

it is the sugar-free kind. My suggestion would be to just get the straight

psyllium hulls from any health food store (even Trader Joe's has some). It

is a very cheap supplement and better not to have the additives.

Just a warning about Psyllium. You need to drink HEAPS of water with it,

and in some cases like myself, my body didn['t cope with it. It dried

inside of me like chaff, and I was so constipated on it. it had the reverse

effect.

Hi Tracy,

Ground organic flax works as well (and give you a good dose of undamaged Omega 3

LNA) and is not so harsh. An older

couple I put on it was amazed how well it worked and will never touch Psyllium

again.

I had a simular experience with adding flaxseed to cottage cheese. No

constipation but it got clogged in the upper GI and I thought I had an

ulcer or hiatal hernia or something. Put spoon of ground flaxseed in a

glass and cover it with water and you will see how much moisture it

absorbs.
