Guest guest
Ron, Maybe you know more about the two distributers and if so please let me know. At Coconut info.com their vergin oil is (heated) and more expensive for smaller amounts while at the CoconunOil-OnLine.com their best vergin oil is (not heated) less expensive in smaller amounts but more expensive in bulk ( not as much discount). I am more concerned about heating the oil and losing natural properties. Thanks, Let me know what you think. TK

Nothing is lost in this process. They only use fresh coconuts, and use a traditional village processing method which allows the wet ground coconut meat to ferment for 48 hours. This allows the oil to naturally separate out, while maintaining max natural goodness. The other methods, using dried copra, can have aflatoxin (a very dangerous toxin) present due to the possibility of mould formation during the slow drying process. I favour the wet processing over the dried copra method but either way heat is applied. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, gowatson USDA database (food breakdown) http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/ PubMed (research papers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi DWIDP (nutrient analysis) http://www.walford.com/dwdemo/dw2b63demo.exe Patch file for above http://www.walford.com/download/dwidp67u.exe KIM (omega analysis) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe
