Tablet or powder? >Yeah, I think it was only 1mg of Vitamin K per pill, so the cost would be >prohibitive... :/ I think this substance may be misnamed. For years, I though your body could make Vitamin K. If so... then it should be called something else. How about an enzyme ? Here is a definition from way.... way .... back. 1912 : any of various organic substances that are essential in minute quantities to the nutrition of most animals and some plants, act especially as coenzymes and precursors of coenzymes in the regulation of metabolic processes but do not provide energy or serve as building units, and are present in natural foodstuffs or sometimes produced within the body At least the stuff has been around for some time. Etymology: Danish koagulation coagulation 1935 1 : either of two naturally occurring fat-soluble vitamins C[31]H[46]O[2] and C[41]H[56]O[2] essential for the clotting of blood because of their role in the production of prothrombin -- called also respectively vitamin K[1], vitamin K[2] 2 : any of several synthetic compounds closely related chemically to natural vitamins K[1] and K[2] and of similar biological activity Likely you read all the stuff that Google returned. One Question...... Why does this and other vitamins show up in the Merck Manual? Those guys are supposed to stick to DRUGS ! Wayne

Konakion (Vit K ) being one of them. They are not stupid. You can still make money from the manufacturing of vitamins - especially when you get Dr's the prescribe them!
