I have found the best thing for chickenpox is lavendar essential oil,

put 6-8 drops in an egg cup of milk then add this to your bath water,

this should take away a lot of the itching and prevent scarring.

Lavendar can also be put onto the skin neat if necessary.

Good news! My four year old *finally* contracted the chicken pox from

his little brother. What's interesting to me is that it took about the

same number of days to recover, but the 4yo had it *much* worse on his

body - darker, angry-looking spots, and many more of them than had

appeared on my younger son. Anyway, everything's A-OK and it wasn't the

scary disease that I thought it would be!

No Chicken Pox was never a big deal for me when I was a kid. I had it twice.

My doctor told my mom that was pretty much impossible unless I had it very

slight the first time but then she told him that I had a bad outbreak both

times. Ah well...
