Guest guest
What herb doesn't the FDA say is " undefined " safety? LOL Sorry, couldn't resistt that.. On a more serious note, I think the ephedra in the diet pills is probably the cause for most of those deaths from the ephedra...ephedra isn't supposed to be used continually ( I believe for over 1 week ) as in the diet pills , and diet pills aren't very friendly on the system as a whole anyhow. Just my 2 cents.... Erin
Guest guest
*Ephedra- Also known as *Ma Huang and *Guarana This herb is commonly used for weight control purposes and to provide an energy boost. In the past it was used as a decongestant for colds, asthma, and hay fever. The FDA considers it an herb of " undefined safety " and has received over 400 reports of adverse reactions, including " liver failure " , elevated blood pressure, palpitations and strokes! It has been attributed to at least recent 15 deaths! (This book was written in 1997) Taken from " Herbal Cures for Common Ailments " by Jim O'Brien. Medical Editor of " Your Health " .
