Guest guest
Dear Mindy, I'm very interested in this remark of yours: > It [athlete's foot] mysteriously went away just a few months ago, and I hadn't been doing anything to it specifically, though I had started taking a thyroid supplement and I always wondered if the thyroid is connected to the immune system. Oh, speaking of which, the thyroid *does* control the body's internal temperature, I think, and I found a web page somewhere that said that the body's temperature is related to the immune system. < I have great problems with overheating! For the last 2 years or so, I've been too hot all the time. I wear thin clothes in winter when others are wearing jumpers, and summers are unbearable. This is not just hot flushes (I'm 58) - I get those as well! If the body temperature is related to the immune system, perhaps there's something very wrong with my immune system? Mindy, if you still have that website address that you mention, I'd much appreciate it. Any other suggestions gratefully received! If the body temperature is related to the immune system, perhaps there's something very wrong with my immune system? Hi Jo, Have you had your thyroid hormone levels checked? The body does use elevated temp to kill viruses so there is a tie-in between the immune system and temp. What is your waking, noon and bedtime temp? Are you using anything for postmenopausal relief? My wife is 55, like me and she uses soy, flax, tribulus, gingko, fish oil and tibolone. Seems to work well.
