Guest guest
It is very hard for me to understand how anyone could get too little Omega 6 and too much Omega 3! Assuming that the average ratio of 6 to 3 is between 125 to 1 and 20 to 1------In the American diet;--what kind of a diet could be low in Omega 6.--? The ideal ratio is thought to be around 4 to 1 or 3 to 1. Almost everything in the Supermarket is loaded with 6, and practically everything in fast food or regular Restaurants is loaded with 6; AND you have to go out of your way to get any food with even a reasonable amount of 3. So these concerns about not getting enough Omega 6 are unfounded. If you can afford a gourmet restaurant that prepares everything fresh and buys only super nutritious food supplies you may get a better ratio; But even then you would not match a person raising his own food with a goal of good nutrition. Try to keep in mind that most of us are suffering from serious malnutrition; so any increase in Omega 3 will tend to benefit us greatly. In my opinion some statements lately that one must be careful about getting too little Omega 6 and too much Omega 3 are the result of confusion in the minds of persons who have not read the hundreds of sites dealing with this on the internet very thoroughly.
