Guest guest
For Immediate Release The Syndrome Sentinel is back, in a new format! The Chronic Syndrome Support Association, Inc. (CSSA), a 501©3 non-profit organization, is pleased to announce the publication of the online e-newsletter, The Syndrome Sentinel. Our goal is to help make a positive impact on the suffering of those with ‘invisible’ illnesses. CSSA is dedicated to the dissemination of information on the chronic illnesses Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS), Gulf War Syndrome (GWS), Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome (MCS), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Post-Polio Syndrome (PPS) and related 'invisible' illnesses, including Chronic Myofascial Pain (CMP), since there is considerable overlap in symptoms. The Syndrome Sentinel is not intended to speak to a single discipline in the treatment and management of these illnesses. Instead, we present both traditional and alternative modalities, since not everyone responds similarly to medications or therapies. Since the first printed issue of The Syndrome Sentinel in November 1997, we have attempted to provide the most current and significant information on chronic ‘invisible’ illnesses which we believe to be along the same continuum. Feedback has told us that we were successful, which is very gratifying. The printed newsletter was a labor of love, but it took its toll on those of us who are ill ourselves. Because of that, the decision was made to suspend publication effective with the Winter 2001 issue. The Board of Directors of CSSA realized that the newsletter was perhaps our most important instrument in providing awareness, education and support for these illnesses, but we also realized that it cannot be at the cost of our own health. The NEW Syndrome Sentinel is back in email format and is being offered to rs free of charge. The e-newsletter includes Articles On Your Health, What's Online at CSSA, News and Views, Resources, Specials and other areas of interest. We hope you will find the information helpful. To , go to www.cssa-inc.org (AOL users: <a href= " http://www.cssa-inc.org " >) or send a message to The_Syndrome_Sentinel- . If you would like more information, send a message to The_Syndrome_Sentinel-owner . The e-newsletter is available in either HTML or plain text. You can manage your subscription at . The HTML format will allow you to see the colors and graphics in the e-newsletter. Back issues of the printed newsletter can be ordered at CSSA's website at a cost of $5 each. Orders can be charged to your credit card using PayPal, or you can print out the order form and send it with your check (money order for non-U.S. orders). Also on the website is CSSA's free pamphlet downloadable with Adobe Reader. It is intended for distribution in your local area in order to increase awareness. Many doctors' offices, hospitals and support groups have used the pamphlet for this purpose. The website has gone through substantial redesign, with lots of new material and an expanded book review section (we are an Amazon.com affiliate, so a percentage of your purchase is returned to CSSA to help with further awareness efforts). CSSA has also affiliated with Watkins Online where you'll find natural products of exceptional quality, with something for everyone! Purchase your everyday health, personal care and home care products, as well as popular holiday gift items, through our WatkinsOnline Store, and enjoy the process while making your donations count. As an added bonus, you'll receive a free Watkins sample with each e-newsletter subscription!
