Guest guest
The olive oil and lemon juice are a treat after the epsom salts and no food all day. Ive done it. Its a piece of cake. Remember its not like diarrhea when you're sick, you're well but you just have to go to the bathroom alot. *g* Kate At 12:14 9/12/2001 -0500, you wrote: >In a message dated 9/12/01 16:46:14 GMT Standard Time, vache920 >writes: > >I have the 'recipe' but have so far been unable to talk myself into >stomaching it - maybe I will one of these days - but the thought of olive oil >and lemon juice do nothing to my tastebuds. >Marianne > > > Have you ever thought of doing a gal bladder cleanse to rid of > > yourself of gal stones? Guest guest
Check out the gallstones email group at . THeres so many testimonials there that you just cant go wrong. And join the list for support. Believe me, its really not much of a big deal but it can save you a gallbladder removal. The epsom salts dilates the bile ducts and the oil allows for the easy passage through. THe lemon juice helps break them down. If your gallbladder has stones then your liver will too. Guest guest
Some feel that olive oil and lemon juice in the presence of stomach acids simply form a type of soap (i.e., soponification). What you may see coming out the other end are little blobs of soponified oil, not gallstones. In fact, some liver specialists believe that the oil and soap routine do nothing for the liver and gall bladder, except present a risky burden that can worsen these two organs. Guest guest
The only reports that I have heard of online is from people who have passed dozens or even hundreds of green balls that they swear are gallstones. I've been that route and Rob is correct. They are not stones. Guest guest
Have you been through this process Rob? If you read the hundreds of testimonials on the website you'll see that people have been scheduled to have gallbladder surgery and tried this process and didn't have to have the operation. And hundreds of people have removed calcified stones. Theres been tests done on these stones and they dont have olive oil in them. Apparently it doesn't form into a solid mass with that combination. Guest guest
All I can say is do your research. Talk to people who have been through the process. The gallstones list here is great. Guest guest
Hi Marianne, I'm not saying that people do not pass stones just that the green balls they report passing are not stones but congealed oil and bile. If you had a scan then you must have an idea of the size and qty. of the stones. The olive oil fat will not put weight on in such a short time. Do check out the gallstone group but disregard green " stones " . Guest guest
Marianne, Rumor has it that parsnips are quite good for gallstones! Read that in one of my health books the other day. However, I had a serious attack a week ago which had me up all night and in terrific pain. When I eat fat (silly me I had a pizza) then I suffer with indigestion but every now and again I get a bad attack where the stone/s come to the entrance of the gall bladder and block it. I have been told to go to the doctor and get pain killers for when this happens and to ensure that I keep upright - I will stay with keep upright and forget the pills I think. Thanks for the advice Marianne > I'm not saying that people do not pass stones just that the green balls > they report passing are not stones but congealed oil and bile. Guest guest
Gals! The difference being that Extra-Virgin olive oil falls in the " good " fat category which raises HDL " good " cholesterol, versus the majority of other fats that tend to lower " good " cholesterol while raising HDL! It's a trip to study it, but very worthwhile!! This is the key to good health in my estimation and I am living testimony after the fact. :-) Few people are aware of it, but this knowledge can make a world of difference in your health if you become acutely aware of which types of fats to eat and stick with it!!! It has been said by some of the alternative experts such as Julian Whitaker that Americans need an " oil change " . Simply put, but VERY true! Get some of Udo Erasmus books on fats. Very useful information to those of us who are prone to high cholesterol and/or heart and artery problems.
