Guest guest
Hello All! Thought I would post some interesting news I recently received in regard to antioxidants. Seems cranberries - pears - grapes -apples - blueberries are among the richest source of phenols, according to Dr. Joe Vinson, Ph.D. In a comprehensive review of 20 commonly eaten fruits, " cranberries " contained more disease fighting antioxidant phenols than any other fruit measured. Fresh and dried cranberries, followed by the sauce from cranberry have the most phenols. Cranberry drinks containing at least 27% real cranberry juice supply a significant amount. Enjoy those cranberries this year! Kandi
Guest guest
Kandi, Here's something I've run across lately . . . Dramatic new research shows that Ningxia wolfberries may have the highest antioxidant capacity of all know fruits and vegetables. A new laboratory test known as ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity), developed by the USDA researchers at Tufts University, rates juice made with Ningxia wolfberries as the number one antioxidant product on the market today. The wolfberry is more than just a complete food: it is a vitamin and mineral filled antioxidant that contains over 15% protein by weight. With more protein than bee pollen, more vitamin C than oranges, and almost as much beta carotene as carrots, the wolfberry contains 21 essential minerals, including calcium, chromium, copper, magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Guest guest
Wolfberries grow in a remote area of China near Inner Mongonia. A Chinese Medica dating back 2,000 years mentions the stem, leaf, and fruit of the wolfberry. Another ancient medical work records wolfberry benefits ranging from replenishing vital essences to strengthening and restoring major organs.
