Guest guest
I wonder about blackstrap. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl Enter blackstrap into the search and hit the enter key. Select Tbs. As can be seen it is high in carbohydrates (sucrose), has some magnesium but not much else. Sucrose Class: Public Enemy #1! Sucrose is found in almost all processed foods such as plain table sugar, dextrose, raw natural sugar, blackstrap molasses, maple syrup, or sorghum molasses. Taken from sugar beets or sugar cane, this disaccharide is composed of glucose and fructose. Because it contains NO vitamins or minerals it must rob them from the body in which it is assimilated, (like a parasite leaching the " life " from its victim). _____________ Get the FREE email that has everyone talking at http://www.mail2world.com <> > > dfnewman > 12/7/2001 7:56:39 PM > Gettingwell > Re: blackstrap molasses > > > In a message dated 01/7/12 8:49:49 PM, ron writes: > > << No they are different. > >> > > Does sorghum have more nutritional value than molasses?? The calcium:magnesium ratio is about 2`:1 Joan McPhee, not an M.D. mcpheej
