Guest guest
> <<from a holisitc doctor? > when I told my endo about my adrenal exhaustion he laughed....>> My bloodwork was done in a reg. Drs office. I have had this test done a few times over the years, so its nothing new. The idea that a Dr laughed at you .... very insulting and disrespectful. << " There is no direct correlation between adrenals and thryoid dysfunction " >> If my Dr said that statement to me, with what I know now, I would have RUN out of his office. Truely a baffling statement. To start, he could have done a simple laying/sitting/standing blood pressure test. (Mine personally dropped 15 pts with this test) In one the web sites someone just posted, at the end, it stated that before any thyroid med. is given to a patient, that patient should be tested for adrenal issues. Ask around.. I don't know of a soul on thyroid meds that was checked first for adrenal issues, including myself. My new Dr loves for me to bring in articles, we work on my condition TOGETHER. He knows what I've been through over the years and is not going to let me slip through the fingers of medicine again. He respects my wishes for alternative/complimentary products. For that alone, he will become a long term Dr. for me. If your Dr is not willing to test you for adrenal exhaustion/insufficiency he could at least order a urine test done from Smokey Mtns lab. They will send you everything. This test is not to be confused with the 24 urine/adrenal test which is not an accurate test, but unfortunately, most Drs order. If you start looking for another Dr., interview him BEFORE you start in with whats wrong. See if hes willing to work WITH you and respect your opinion. Its your body. You only get one in this lifetime. Off the soapbox .... : ) Terri
