An eccentric millionaire? Likely.

Dr. Jon Brooks? Not likely. Try Stuart Fason www.genericcoop.com/drjon.htm

, not a doctor.

Just wants to break even? Who knows? If he'll lie about his identity, what

else will he lie about?

I do not know what to say about either Dr.Jon or the allegations

against him. I do know I have ordered & received 2 orders from him with no

problems. I sure have no way to evaluate potency or purity, but the pills

seem to be working. I take L-Lysine as a precaution against herpes

flare-ups & I have had no flare-ups since taking a preparation containing

L-Lysine from Dr.Jon. Dr.Jon is considering going to the honor system when

ordering after the membership closes. This means sending him a check after

the order has been received,. If he does so, there is no way I can be at

financial risk. Even now, many people pay by credit card & the credit card

companies will not charge one's cc if the order is not shipped.

Dr.Jon may not be who he says he is. I sure have no way to verify

that one. I do know the health advice on his website is valuable to me.

I do know he sells real inexpensive supplements. No other companies I buy

from offer proof of potency, so no matter who I buy from there is always the

element of trust. I have no idea whether Dr.Jon is who he says he is, or if

he is a real doctor. Lying about oneself is never a good thing, especially

in business. Now Dr.Jon speaks about people who have been trying to

sabotage his generic co-op. He blames people who sell supplements with a

high mark-up being jealous. Is Dr.Jon just covering his tracks because he

is not who he says he is? Or are there people out to smear his name? Or

is it a bit of both? I sure cannot evaluate that one without spending far

more $$ than I have at my disposal to hire a private detective.

Where to go from here? Well, I shall continue to order from Dr,Jon

unless I get more info & need to change my mind. I have recommended the

generic co-op to friends, and I feel I need to write to each of them --

letting them know about the allegations against Dr.Jon and my thoughts on

the matter. And I shall e-mail Dr.Jon to see if he is willing to respond

to the allegations. As for my recommendations to people on this list -- I

still feel the generic co-op sells good stuff at a real inexpensive price.

I still recommend people join-up before membership closes, but now I do

recommend paying via credit card if possible as that method of payment

affords more protection in case Dr.Jon turns out to be a crook.

Personally, I find Dr.Jon to be likeable. If it turns out he is

somehow cheating me, I would be saddened -- although for the life of me I

cannot figure out how the scam would work! But I suppose that could just

mean his scam is a good one!

If it turns out he is a man with a made-up past, that does undermine

my confidence, but so long as I continue to trust his products & feel

financially safe ordering from him, I will continue to do so. Back when I

was not nearly so health conscious, I bought food products from " Betty

Crocker " , " Duncan Hines " , " Aunt Jemima " , " Colonel Sanders " , and other people

I knew to be fictitious.

I would certainly like Dr.Jon to be a real person. I do not care

what his real name or past are. If he is *not* a doctor, I would probably

trust him more anyway. So if Dr.Jon turns out to be not who he says he is,

I am hoping he will come clean & continue his fine generic co-op because I

like the personality of the man, the products he sells, and the prices he

charges.

An excellent summary that describe my feelings also!

I REALLY dislike character assassination, and personally believe the piece on

the web to be such. Really wonder about its motivation!

Chuck

It used to be only death and taxes were inevitable. Now, of course,

there's shipping and handling,too.

I sent a copy of my post to Dr.Jon along with the original

allegation & follow-up info. Dr.Jon's cat Guido responded.

Vache, This Dr. Jon is not a doctor and if his newsletters

was followed from the beginning you would have understood

why he selected to use this as his name. At first his list

was with Topica and later switched. I don't know if the old

files are still listed with Topica or if they were dumped.

You are only assuming that " he Lies " based on someones brief

post. You must follow the newsletter and you will get a chuckle

after a chuckle about this guy.
