Guest guest
I mentioned about my son speaking with the NS about his eye injury in the previous email. He had been doing on tow where a truck was straight up over a hill bank. He was standing back out of range while the other man ran the tow cord. The truck wasn't moving, and in a freak thing, the cable broke, sprung back, and hit Joseph straight in the eye and face. It knocked him over, and his face looked a mess. He was taken to the local ER. They thought it was a detached retina, and sent him on to the state capitol ER one hour away. After several hours, he was examined, could barely see, and was told he was very lucky. We believe God protected him from having steel fragments embed in his eye, and the retina was " ok " . He did have hemorrhaging in the eye, so was told to stay laying in bed for a week with an eye patch over both eyes. We made several return visits to the eye specialist. The eyesight wasn't returning, and he had to wear glasses during the day. Nothing was changing, so surgery was suggested, although he was told he could totally lose his sight during the surgery, or things could be the same- 50-50 prognosis. One eye was good enough to see out of. So it was a waiting game. When the NS came, he gave him a simple regimen to try, one for 2 weeks, then with some more supplements added after that. Two months later, he noticed that his eyes no longer bothered him during the day, and he stopped wearing sunglasses. Then six months later, while applying for a correctional officers job, during the physical he was told his eyesight was more than perfect. They couldn't believe he had had the injury. This is long so I'll send the next one separately. Patricia
