Guest guest
<< few good doctors I believe and trust state that the cholesterol in the blood does not come from the food one eats. >> Yes. 75% of your blood cholesterol is made by the liver. The liver transforms elevated blood sugars " stranded " in the bloodstream due to insulin resistance to blood fats (including cholesterol). Eating egg yolks does not meaningfully raise the cholesterol in your blood. Remember that total cholesterol does *not* predict heart disease risk. In fact, low cholesterol is associated with depression and other deviant behaviors. Ratios between triglycerides, and the HDL + LDL cholesterol are predictors of heart disease, but no more than homocysteine levels.
