Delete virus's without previewing

 

There are a few viruses, like KAK, that can infect your

computer without opening the attachment. Your system can

become infected just by previewing the email in the preview

pane. Even if you just right click the email to delete it,

the preview will be activated.

 

If you suspect an email may have a virus, you can delete it

without having it open in the preview pane. To do this:

 

Open the email just above the suspect email, respond if

necessary but don't delete it yet. Next open the email just

below the suspect email and respond if necessary. Now that

you've responded to the email just above and below the

suspect email and any responses are out of the way:

 

1) Click the email above the suspect email.

2) Hold down your shift key and click the email below the

suspect email and release the shift key.

 

This will highlight all three files with the suspect email

sandwiched in between the other two.

 

3) Now all you have to do is just hit the delete button to

delete all three without having previewed the potential virus.
