Guest guest
Evening Vache, You make some good points in your message. All of them furnish " food for thought " . <grin> I suppose all junk food does that. The more one studies food, nutrition, and toxic substances, the more confused one becomes. We soon decide that " fasting " it the only thing that is safe to do. Next we loose sleep over the water quality. Of course something has kept mankind alive for a long time. But.... that was before the days of junk food and toxins. >Geez, there is just no getting around all this you are doing it wrong >syndrome on this list is there? Often I think I am doing it wrong. I have become addicted to trail mix. I fear I am getting lots of mold and maybe other toxic substances in this wonderful food. At least most of the bad stuff in trail mix got there by accident, hopefully. There is another food I have added to my approved list. I would like to see this combination attacked by the experts. Often I will skip a well prepared traditional meal. After a few more hours I decide I have to have some real energy. So..... here is what I do. 1/2 medium onion ( chopped ) 1/4 to 1/3 chopped bell pepper 4 eggs beaten well. Fry some bacon to obtain some real grease. Saute the onions and bell pepper. Don't allow the onions and bell pepper to become even 1/2 cooked. ( just heated for a very few minutes ) Add the 4 well beaten eggs. Stir until you think this is ready to eat. An option is to add some chopped cheese a jiffy before the eggs are fully done. Eat with bacon and any bread that you can justify as being on your " approved food list " or.... forget the bread. I suppose many will think this is worse for me than the flaxseed, salmon, or the peanut butter cups. >BTW, as a person with an incredibly strong maritime background, with >a solid base in the commercial fisheries want me to tell you about >farm raised salmon??? I know what you mean. Lots of our commercial catfish taste terrible. They are nothing to compare with good " wild fish " . >I can speak coherently upon slaughter cows too. <grin> I used to >help buy cows for the slaughter market for a meat packer. Yes, I can read between the lines for sure. >Snails, maybe I'll just stick to snails. Really they're not so bad >if one uses enough butter & garlic. <smirk> Why not add them to scrambled eggs? Don't forget that chicken livers and scrambled eggs goes great together. I have eliminated about 85 % of the conventional foods from my " approved list " . Likely I need to eliminate about 90% of those remaining. By the way, there is one junk food I still like even though I don't eat it often. Those....... little " corn chips " .... Fritos, I believe is the name. What should I dip them in to get them on the approved list? Wayne
