Guest guest
- " Rob Bartlett " <rob.bartlett Sunday, November 25, 2001 1:53 AM soy increases risk of heart disease > New study shows that regular consumption of soy can increase heart disease > risk: > www.mercola.com/2001/nov/24/soy.htm > Hi Rob, But the soy use was soy protein isolate, which is mainly the amino acids from the protein and none of the cardio protective isoflavones. The AHA studies, which showed strong cardio protective effects from soy consumption, used the whole spectrum of the nutrients from soy. Soy protein isolate may be good for muscle builders but other than the amino acids, there is little else there. Again, with respect you need to compare apples to apples. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg Watson, gowatson USDA database (food breakdown) http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/ PubMed (research papers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi DWIDP (nutrient analysis) http://www.walford.com/dwdemo/dw2b63demo.exe KIM (omega analysis) http://ods.od.nih.gov/eicosanoids/KIM_Install.exe
