HUNZA DIET BREAD

Hunza Diet Bread is a delicious, dense, chewy bread that's very nutritious

and is almost impervious to spoilage. The following recipe makes a huge

batch of approximately 60 (sixty) 2 inch squares, high in protein, vitamins

and minerals. Keeps weeks at room temperature, even longer in the fridge

and indefinitely in the freezer. The recipe for this wonderful bread is as

follows:

* 4 cups of water

* 3.5 (three & one half) to 4 pounds of natural buckwheat or millet flour

* 1.5 (one & one half) cups of canola oil

* 1.5 (one & one half) cups of natural unrefined sugar

* 16 ounces of honey

* 16 ounces of molasses

* 4 ounces of powdered soya milk (half cup)

* 1 teaspoon sea salt

* 1 teaspoon cinnamon

* 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

* 2 teaspoons baking powder (non aluminium)

Hunza Diet Bread has a taste that is very satisfying and chewy all on its

own, but you may also add if required, apricots, raisins, chopped walnuts,

almonds, sliced dates to the above ingredients. Mix ingredients. Grease and

lightly flour cooking pan(s). Ideally use baking trays with about 1 inch

high sides. Pour batter in pan(s) half an inch thick over the base. Bake at

about 300 degrees farenheit (150 C.) for 1 hour. After cooking, dry the

bread in the oven for two (2) hours at a very low heat - 90 degrees

farenheit (50 C). After it is cooled tip out and cut into approx 2 inch x 2

inch squares. Store it wrapped in cloth in a container.

You may need to repeat the baking depending on the size of your baking pan,

and oven, until all the mixture has been used.

Hunza Diet Bread is made from natural buckwheat or millet flour. It is rich

in phosphorous, potassium, iron, calcium, manganese and other minerals, as

nothing has been destroyed in the preparation from the wheat. Thus it

contains the essential nourishment of the grain. This is why you must ONLY

use natural buckwheat or millet flour to make your own Hunza Diet

Bread..... Good luck and good health .. bon appetite :-)

Suggestions to lose weight with HUNZA DIET BREAD:

There are many ways to do it. This is another benefit. It's flexible. Here

are some typical plans. Each piece of bread is thinly spread with butter

for a total of approximately 100 calories.

Plan A: Eat 1 piece every 5 hours of the 16 hours you're awake. That's 3

pieces which total 300 calories. This is the fastest way to lose weight I

know of. It works faster than any high protein diet. Why? You have more

energy and burn more calories. Second, the high fiber bread keeps your

digestive system regular. Third, your body stays healthy. A healthy body

means a properly functioning metabolic system.

Plan B: Really gorge yourself with the bread. Two pieces every four hours

for a total of 8 pieces but only 800 calories. You'll feel full all day. In

fact, I doubt many people could eat this much of the bread.

Plan C: Eat a piece in the morning for breakfast and a piece 3 hours before

your

dinner and you will eat a great deal less.

Plan D: Eat a piece of HUNZA DIET BREAD, 10 minutes before you eat your

regular meal. When we do this we eat only a fraction, such as 1/4 of what

we would normally eat. If we wait longer than 10 minutes we don't want to

eat at all.

Plan E: Eat the bread at the end of meals that don't fill you up enough,

such as low calorie meals. This is a perfect way to use the bread. You eat

a low calorie meal, enjoy it, then eat a piece or two of bread to fill you

up. Perfect! No suffering and no urge to snack.

Plan F: Alternate Plan A, B, C, D. We recommend an alternation of the

plans, but some people who just want to get the weight off as soon as

possible will use Plan A exclusively.

1. Question ?

(We eat no soy products in our family.) Will the bread

turn out OK, if I substitute " non-fat, non-instant

milk powder " ?

2. Question?

(Does one eat 3 meals a day besides this bread?)

With Warm Regards,

P.S. Thanks for the recipe! I'm definitely going to give it

a try! : - )

I am going to use non-fat milk powder. I get it wholesale (or used to

- maybe again if I start making this bread often) at coop in

Knoxville. Is it instant? How do you know? I would think that any

dried powdered milk or milk substitute (soya milk) would be instant.

If not - please advise. I prefer to use as natural as possible, and if

it's instant - it couldn't be very natural!

Did you see instructions on how to eat for loosing weight at bottom of

long post about the bread? You can do it anyway you want. I am going

through a period where feeling full doesn't happen much. I LIKE to eat

- but we stay with good foods at least.

Apparently just slices fill you up. And that's at 2x2 sizes!

I will continue to take a green drink every day, and the goat whey,

and all the Perfect Science water in between. You'd think I'd feel

pretty full!

Many blessings,

Shirley

Dear Shirley,

Thanks for getting right back to me with the answers for

my questions about the Hunza Bread. I still wonder where

all this " great nutrition " comes in, because as I see it, it mostly

would have to come from the flour, milk (or soy), oil, and

from the honey & molasses. (I was just wondering where

one would get a natural array of vitamins?) But, I can see,

if one would drink a " green drink " besides, no doubt one would

be able to live on this combination for quite a length of time.

(I'm surprised the bread contains no " eggs. " ) Probably

because many people are allergic to eggs. . . .

Yes, I read the instructions on " how to eat the bread. "

Nevertheless, I don't see how one would receive adequate

nutrition, if one would eat only a 2-inch-piece of this bread

every 5 hours, without eating " meals, " besides? (But,

again, adding a green drink, would explain it.)

My husband and I were discussing this, and finally felt,

" Evidently, our bodies are able to eat only this bread

(alone), for a week, or so, and most likely by then one

would have lost 5 or 6 pounds. " (The amount most

people would like to lose.)

I don't have any trouble with hunger. In fact, when I get

carried away with a project (which mostly is every

day : - ), -- if my husband wouldn't bring something to eat,

to me, and say, " Here, Esther -- EAT this! " : - ) -- I'd most

likely go most of the day, without eating. (Which, I agree,

certainly isn't good for me.)

I just felt this Hunza Bread would be so excellent! One

quickly would be able to eat a small piece of it, when one

is extremely busy, and doesn't have the time to prepare

a small meal.

Here's something else, Shirley, on November 24th

2001, you wrote:

" Is it instant? How do you know? I would think

that any dried powdered milk or milk substitute

(soya milk) would be instant. "

The nutritionist, Adelle Davis, tells us that 2/3 cup of

" instant powered skim milk " contains: 18 Grams of

complete protein -- whereas a 2/3 cup of " non-instant

powered skim milk " contains: 35 Grams (also of complete

protein). She also tells us that a person needs to eat (at

least), 35 Grams of protein, if one wants to keep the

hunger pangs away for an entire morning, or an

entire afternoon.

(The " instant skim milk " is the kind one purchases at a

regular grocery store, for example, Carnation Instant,

which mixes " instantly " when one shakes it with water.)

(The " non instant " is purchased at a " health food " store.)

I purchase ours either at our Outpost (health food store),

or from Milk 'Nd Honey, here in Milwaukee. The

" non-instant " needs to be shaken well over 100 times,

to have it completely dissolve in water, for drinking

(because it's denser), whereas the consistency of the

Carnation Instant is in puffy granules, which therefore

quickly dissolve in water, for drinking. (But in baking,

one simply mixes the " non-instant " with the flour.)

Thanks again for your help, Shirley.

With Warm Regards,

Esther

P.S. Yesterday after church we purchased some " organic millet

flour " from Outpost. I'm so excited, and intend baking

the bread TODAY! Yummmmm! Can't WAIT! : - )
