Hi All,

Sometimes it is hard to estimate your daily oil and fat intake.

The best way is to work on elimination or how long a tub of butter / margarine /

jar of mayonnaise / bottle of oil / etc

lasts in days then divide the original contents by the time in day then by the

people in the house. This will give you

a good but rough idea as to daily intake.

As an example 500 ml of extra virgin olive oil lasts us about 8 weeks or 56 days

and there are 2.5 people in our house

(part time daughter) so we would get an average of 500 ml / 56 days / 2.5

people = 3.5 g of extra virgin olive oil a

day.

You can use this method for many foods and get good analytical results from

using software packages like DWIDP and KIM.
