I read Johns message, and my thoughts are the same, What Evidence did you or anyone have that this was the cause? I drink only RO water. I have a well but do not use it. I would like to get an analysis to see if my well water is better than the RO water, which comes from a city source. Back to the minerals, if there is a thimble full of minerals in a million gallons of any water, why do we not simply add a magic combination of a few powdered substances to any water we drink? I usually add one, sometimes two packets of Emergen-C to some of my water during the day. Plus, eating the trailmix and several other raw foods each day, I may not need to worry about trace minerals at all. I think of minerals in two categories, Major Elements and Trace Minerals. Any that we need several hundred mg, or a few grams, are definitely MAJOR. The others like copper, zinc, ect are minor. Actually I virtually consider iron as a minor mineral. If you don't have any, it is major. I have never purchased or used an iron supplement in my life. I hate to see any product with iron in it. Possibly I am wrong to think this way. Why don't we make a list of the minerals we need in a gallon of water, put the items together, and forever more forget which water is best to drink. We know that some types are very bad. We don't want any treated water with chlorine or fluoride in it. I talked with some testing labs a year or so ago. The test they do for municipalities cost into the thousands. Most of us can't spend 3 to 5 grand to know what is in our water. I have a relatively sophisticated water test kit. Unfortunately I don't have the instructions. Maybe I can find them on the internet. Still looking for the best water........ other than my well or RO water. I don't want to have to buy distilled water primarily due to the inconvenience. My minerals tend to be lower than I would like when my blood analysis are done. It may be the large volume of water I drink...... One gallon plus per day. >what is RO water? Often we use the term, " RO " instead of the long name, Reverse Osmosis , instead of all the typing. Plus.... not much chance to misspell RO. <grin> The filter array has 3 filters plus the reverse osmosis membrane. Many do not think it is as good as some of the claims. But, the taste is so close to distilled water, you cannot tell the difference. Plain.... sweet, and wet. It has to be better than many other sources of water.
