Mindy,

I ended up ordering a herbal product called ashwagandha. It was mentioned

in the article " herbs for adrenals " with licorice but stated no side affects,

unlike the licorice. I also take an Adrenal support supplement now which has

adrenal(bovine source), pituitary, and Parotid concentrate along with vit.

C, many B's, and a few others. After blood testing, I found out my pituitary

is way off the charts, along with ovaries and some other endocrine organ,

along with a change in thyroid meds... again. Dr. feels its the domino

effect as they are connected. I'm just glad I don't have any more endocrine

glands... ; )

I was very ill from this adrenal issue, near exhaustion and one step from

the hospital. I knew that med. I.V. cortisone or something like that and

there was no way. I had already started my supplements and seemed like I was

heading down hill any farther, then I sought out a chiropractor who has been

doing atlas correction and cold laser. I went last week for a massage too...

like heaven. I told her what the problem was and she used various ess. oils

and the next day I noticed a definite difference. I'm feeling ALOT better

since my supplements and all else. I know its not an overnight recovery but

I'm on my way.

I believe I read that alot of licorice candy is artificially flavored. That

can't be good. I would buy your next bag of licorice from a health food

store.. read the label, look natural ingred. Enjoy!

Yes it does. But there is another kind of liquorice that

removed

those bad effects from the herb. I don't know what it is called,

I think Donna knows. Donna?

Doesnt licorice also cause problems for people with high blood

pressure?

Hmm...I bought a box of licorice from the health food store that touted natural

ingredients (made by Panda) and then compared the ingredients to a regular bag

of

licorice, and they were exactly the same! So YMMV! :/
