Mindy, Take your minerals at night, that is when they are

processed.

Especially magnesium and calcium helps you relax and sleep.

Boy I will tell ya. Trying to keep up with this groups is like trying to watch

four tennis games at once. My head is spinning.

On the depression issue. A few thoughts.

Depression can have so many different causes that trying to give general advice

and expect it to work for everyone is probably not going to be successful.

Treatment depends on the cause.

For some it is low oxygen and so taking an oxygen product, or better yet,

getting out and exercising will do the trick.

For some it is lack of happy chemicals in the brain, again, exercise will

alleviate this sometimes.

For others it is a sluggish liver and so taking steps to make the liver happier

will give relief.

For others it is a food allergy and so some foods would need to be avoided.

And what works for one person doesn't always work for another. I am rarely

depressed, but if I take flax or borage I will go into severe, why live,

depression. Interestingly, flax and borage are recommended to relieve

depression. Go figure.

B vitamins, the usp version, also make me feel very fatigued and shakey.

So, what I have learned is that depression should be looked at in a wholistic

way. If you are not exercising, then you should be. If you are eating sugar

then you shouldn't be. If you are eating white flour and other offenders, then

stop. Etc.

Most people will find that when they give their bodies wholesome basics, that it

will do well and depression will leave. If it does not, then I suggest praying

and asking for what will work for you. It could save you alot of time.

When I first became ill with CFS I had severe depression that I knew was

physical and I prayed and asked for help and then I read about Evening primrose

oil that it was a liver stimulant and that some depression was liver related and

that if it was you could take epo and it would leave. I knew in my heart that

this was an answer. I got some and with the first cap I chewed up the

depression left. And as my liver got in shape, I didn't need the epo.

Hope some of this helps and doesn't cause further confusion

Donna

Hmm Donna,

This is making me think.... alcohol also affects the liver, right? So if

there really is a link between alcohol addiction and sugar addiction, then sugar

could also affect the liver? Maybe I should try some milk thistle and dandelion

root to see if that helps? I will try some of the other things, too. Remind

me to type up the info on my B vitamin bottle -- I'd like to run it by y'all.

Today I took 2 B vitamins and a magnesium, then ended up

taking a half hour nap on the couch with the baby (not such a great idea since

my 4 year old was awake, but he behaved :) ). Anyway it has been ages and ages

since I had a nap, so that's good, I hope. And last night I took an hour long

walk to the video store to return the videos. *ramble ramble*
