I hear you, but my dh's response is that we don't know this is the

problem. Forgive him, he looked at the Gottschall book and hated it.

I'm sorry if I was unclear. Lactose isn't a problem, casein is. And the

reaction is not anaphylactic, is is opoid. Basically since his body is

unable to break down casein, protein peptides escape the intestine into the

blood stream and cross the blood-brain barrier causing him to behave as if

he has been injected with heroin. It is not pleasant and we avoid casein

for this reason. ATM, we are not going to risk it because he bowels are in

very bad shape.
