Went to that gov site and looked up a few foods... wow.. almost too much information! haha ..what a breakdown of foods. This would certainly enable someone to pinpoint their diet! A friend of mine called and asked me about the following: She has been put on hormone replacement as she is into menopause. Dr. has her taking Prempro for a month to get her up to par, then told her she could use a more natural product like: Ameritus which is a phyto estroderm(sp). Anyone know what is in a phytoestroderm product or a product that will match it? Dr. said she could get it at a health food store. Shes pleased that he recommended a natural replacement rather than pharm. meds... thumbs up for him! This is a great list ...not sure who invited me... but thanks! There are many software packages which use the USDA database to anallyze your diet and provide a complete breakdown of ALL your nutrient intakes. I use such a package and have been able to modify my diet to get many times the RDI without using supplements while reducing calorie intake at the same time. Sometimes we eat based on our bodies need for some nutrient that is low. > A friend of mine called and asked me about the following: She has been put > on hormone replacement as she is into menopause. Hi Terri, My wife is 55 and uses Tibolone as her HRT, isoflavones from soy and lignans from flax. She is doing very well and has bone density of a 40 year old, great skin and libido to match.
