Greg,

I realize I'm showing my ignorance here, but what exactly is canola made from,

and why is it better than olive oil?

Also, I thought Mediterranean people had lots of olive oil in their diets. I'm

wary of canola oil, but fer no good

reason...

Also, is canned tunafish packed in water a good source of EFA?

Canola has less saturated and much more Omega 3 LNA. For those who don't like

fish or Omega 3 capsules it is a

acceptable (better than nothing) source of Omega 3 LNA. The Canola we use has

almost no tans fats (< 0.5 %), reduced

Omega 6 LA and more Omega 3 LNA.

We use extra virgin olive for taste, on salads and for dipping bread into then

into Dukka. Delicious!

Here is a good visual chart of various oils:

Yes and no. Depends on the kind of tuna. Use the USDA online database to

compare various tunas:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl

Type in tuna then select what you want to see an analysis of. By selecting 100

g as the sample size, the numbers relate

to %.
