Guest guest
I have a question- if I am taking an EFA supplement daily, do I also need to take the ground flax as well? And I know that fish are a great way to get the oils/efa's, but fish and I do NOT get along. I do not like any fish and it gives me an upset stomach... Hi Sindea, You can get enteric coated capsules which do not dissolve until they get into the intestines unlike others which dissolve in the stomach and can cause fishy reflux for some. Normally if you take the capsules just before food, there is not a problem. Ocean fish are also a good source of iodine. Greg
Guest guest
Greg- I am taking: The Total EFA- 3 capsules contain- vit E 30 IU; ALA/omega 3 699mg; DHA/omega 3 138mg; EPA/omega 3 216mg; GLA/omega 6 288mg; Linoleic acid/omega 6 620mg; oleic acid/omega 9 520mg-- these are from: organic flax seed oil, borage seed oil, and fish oil. Does this info help? I have also started adding a tbls of ground flax seed into smoothies. So I do not understand why I would need to add the separate fish oil as well. I am currently trying to cure myself of candida (my ND's have said I do indeed have candida)- and am dairy-free except plain yogurt, have cut out sugar about 98% (I have been known to give into mini-cravings, which are happening less and less often!), and eat mainly white meat and lots of fresh fruits and veggies. I know that fruits are not good for candida, but I am cutting out foods gradually and I am a person with a fast metabolism, and need all the food I can get! thanks for the help you are offering everyone. what is your background?
