Guest guest
Source: The John R. Lee, M.D. Medical Letter Sept. 2000 Men with Prostate Problems Several men came forward to express their appreciation for learning that new research confirms that prostate cancer occurs less frequently in men who avoid estrogen dominance. New studies show that men with higher estradiol levels and lower progesterone and testosterone levels than other men their age are more likely to have prostate cancer or prostrate enlargement. It is wise for men over 60 to test their saliva estradiol and testosterone levels. If the balance is shifting toward estrogen dominance, it is time to supplement both progesterone and testosterone. From my experience, I suggest 8 to 10 mg of transdermal progesterone and 4-6 mg of transdermal testosterone daily to maintain the proper ratios of these hormones relative to estradiol.
