Subject:

Visible and other effects of drinking Kombucha Tea.

Dear Ones,

Why would you denegrade a product unless you have tried it?

I am eighty years old and have been brewing and drinking Kombucha Tea

since the Blizzard of 96.

I have gout and can no longer take allopurinol. I have to try to cut

my

intake of purines.

The first day after drinking my first four ounces of Komucha Tea, I

could walk faster with my gout. When I let up on KT, it gets worse. KT

will never stop it in the amounts that I drink it, about eight ounces

a

day.

Those with regular arthritis drink up to 32 ounces a day to get their

results.

The second thing I noticed after drinking Kombucha Tea was that my

eyebrows had turned black and people thought I was using eyebrow

pencil.

I was born with thick, black eyebrows.

Way before my husband died twelve years ago, I was so faded that he

asked me, " Where did your eyebrows go? "

I had beautiful white hair around my temples. That turned a darker

grey,

which I didn't want, although I do bleach my hair. Others have

reported

that their hair returned to a normal color on KT.

I had a giant fatty tumor on my right upper arm. It stuck out like Mr.

Clean and my grandchildren would ask to see my muscle. Drinking KT has

shrunk it and moved it down around to the front of my arm so that it

doesn't show as much.

This may be a lttle indelicate, but before KT, my personal hair was a

pale old-age strawberry blonde. Right away on Kombucha Tea, it turned

black. If I let up on my KT, it turns a reddish brown. This amuses me.

I had two old-age carotene patches on the left side of my face, one,

by

my temple, one in front of my ear. KT has faded and flattened them so

that they are barely visible.

KT fades the old-age spots on my hands until I go out in the sun

again.

I don't have as many floaters in my eyes as before KT and car lights

do

not bother me as much. They tell me I have cataracts that cut the

light,

but I can see distantwise almost as well as ever. I do not necessarily

credit this latter condition to KT, just God's benevolence. I have

lost

a little hearing but it has not progressed.

Until I lost thirty pounds recently, people would guess my age at 56.

Ha. Even after losing the weight, perhaps because I have exercised my

face since I was thirty-five, people can't believe that I am eighty.

Kombucha Tea tastes good if made right, sort of like cider. Before I

knew you had to use a starter of fermented tea, I got mold once when I

tried to brew with some of my best colonies which were FROZEN.

This never happened again. Of course, I had to throw everything out

and

sterilize.

I brew five different strains. When my friend's daughters from

California brought Kombucha Tea to Maryland in January of 1996, my son

and I started brewing in separate houses with the same strain.

I used Lipton's black tea bags and he used green tea with ginseng. He

had spent thousands on medicines for his psoriasis to no avail. It

was

on much of his body, visible on elbows, hands, along his hairline.

Almost miraculously, on Kombucha Tea, all the scales and itching from

his psoriasis went away, not the scars which he wanted to go, too.

I never thought to reommend decaffeinated tea. My son concluded that

the

caffeine in the green tea was keeping him awake. He stopped drinking

his

Kombucha Tea, and his psoriasis came back with a bang. He still has it

to this day.

Most young people do not have so visible results. They do believe that

they have more energy and freedom from flu and colds. Some make

facials

and find little lines in the face reduced.

But, by drinking Kombucha Tea, they may be holding back the ravages of

time. Ha.

I believe that Kombucha Tea has taken me back in time. visibly.

physically. I had six of my strains analyzed and you wouldn't believe

all the goodies in them.

Different strains contained the same ingredients but in different

proportions.

One thing I failed to mention. I get a buzz from drinking eight ounces

of Kombucha Tea. Reportedly, it contains up to .5 per cent alcohol. It

relaxes my shoulders as a cup of wine used to do.

On KT another son who is fifty kept his black hair, dark. When we let

up

on our KT and our megavitamins and minerals, his hair gets browner and

strawlike and some grey shows. On our regular regimen, it turns dark

again.

I was ill for two months and we didn't drink our KT regularly for too

long. I hope his hair comes back this time. It is starting to improve.

I believe that like LOve.,

Kombucha, " makes those young,

Whom age does chill,

And whom it finds young,

Keeps young still. "

Would you dare print this in your wellness letter?

Will bagged KT from the health food store yield similar results? Or only

fresh homebrew? I've asked my husband if he would consider learning how to

make this tea and he said he would...(he brews beer).

How do you exercise your face? :)
